We’re offering hands-on experience days where you can get your hands dirty and try your hand at the traditional trade of blacksmithing.
You will learn how to manipulate metal with fire, hammer, and anvil, as well as forge up to three items to take home, ranging from a wine glass holder for the garden, a hook, and a beer bottle opener, depending on how quickly individuals work.
For a day of tuition, we can accommodate between 1 and 4 people. We’ll begin at 10 a.m. and work until 4:30 p.m., with a lunch break in between.
Please wear jeans and/or cotton clothes, not synthetic materials (these can melt), sensible closed toe footwear, preferably steel toe caps or boots.
Safety goggles will be provided along with gloves and ear protection.
