Interior Shelving

I was first asked by the client to recreate some shelving that they already had in their house. It was partially floating shelving attached in the wall, with a single post for support on one corner.

It was decided the walls they wanted the shelving to go against wouldn’t have enough structure to hold the shelves. I guided them to have freestanding shelving.

The tubes have all been textured, we have used various brackets to give structure to the shelving, the boards are reclaimed scaffold boards. We have made oversized nuts for the feet, and to cap the top of the poles.

The clients were over the moon with the shelving, so much so that even before I could finish taking photos they were trying to get their favourite possessions onto the shelves to display.
